As you say the temperatures are high for February. This month will likely finish with an overall above average temperature despite a cold and snowy start!

knottie - did you get those photo's i mailed to you direct?
may well take the lens up to the 'tocks tomorrow, but am planning a flat-out ride to get in as much as possible so not sure i'll have time to get all arty ๐Ÿ˜‰
