Only Thursday I know but as far as I'm concerned it's not to early to start the weekend.
Bit of an Ebike lunchtime spin round the local woods with Mrsstu.
It's actually dusty in places.

Scottish travel rules change tomorrow so, I'm going Somewhere Else. Don't know where yet but **** you Pentlands.
Tempted to head to glentress tomorrow even though it's obviously going to be mad busy for a while, just because I can...
Last night over the Purbecks with a pint at the Bankes in Studland, we arrived at 8.58 and he had just shut, but turned the till back on for us, so I bought him a pint.

Looks good Stu and solid progress Rocketdog - I’m paying someone to do similar in my garden as we speak, feeling very inadequate all of a sudden.
No pics from me today - holiday rudely interrupted by a work half day.
Meanwhile mrs_oab goes skipping up a couple of local mountains with a friend...
Tomorrow however is double Munro day, o bet she's some sore legs...
Third day out in the camper. Bit cooler today. Been up and down and allover today finishing off sessioning the Beast. The new climb, to us, makes getting back to the top easy. Long blast back to Hope and to pick up the forks which have had the RC2 damper fitted at 18 Bikes
Continued experiments with 29er as a gravel bike. Is slower on climbs but doesn't feel it. Obviously quicker on descents, and has a curious gravity whereby every time I take it out I end up on something seriously steep and nadgery, am already wondering about bigger rotors... 🙄
I'll be a mountainbiker again before I know it 😂
@13thfloormonk - you should have popped in for a cuppa when you go over Sherrifmuir...
Really? I keep placing you in Killin for some reason...
fitted the forks and dropper to Sophie's bike so would be rude not to try new stairs to go down. Planning to go to comrie early Saturday morning.
We're planning to take our wee one and his new 14" Frog to Comrie on Sunday. Am fearing the fracas in the car park due to restrictions easing!
Sophie wins so far this weekend 👍👍
We though that about the Peak but not many about. Trails to ourselves.
Got to go home tomorrow as its Abigales birthday. They grow up fast.
Yay for Sophie, Abigale will have competition in the near future!
Last ever ride in the Wyre Forest today and it was a belter.

Am fearing the fracas in the car park due to restrictions easing
I'm going early.
Where were those pics taken?
Am torn between Pentlands, Ochils or Campsies, depending on what the two peaks in the distance might be, but then I can't place the river instead...
Ochils. Ben Cleuch. A nice lap. Great on a HT with clips.
Nice pictures in this thread!
Loving the HT right now.
me too. its a toss up what bike I take now.
High speed lol. I ended up on the top of Woodhill and looking back past the Nebit.
me too. its a toss up what bike I take now.
I have some nice FS bikes but really for open hills, even rocky and however steep I am finding the HT hard to beat. After going to clips you can WOT and its a blast.

@lightfighter762 what’s the riding on Ben Cleuch like.
Under current dry conditions the paths up high are fast, grassy and fun. Descent from Andrew Gannel fast grass down the ridge or tight and tech down the traverse path - fun but intense. Then increasingly step and rocky down to Tilly. Great wee loop to do in the dry.
Climb up Silver Glen not the Law!
I had one of those nice "ahhhh" moments on a commute home this week. It's getting to the time of year i get to literally ride into the sunset. (Well ok, then, towards the sunset)
Last night's shenanigans. Beautiful night to be riding.

The motorbike is emerging from its box on the LBS floor but not ready until Sunday so that's something to look forward to.

Had a quick escape instead to walk the dog.

A quick loop from home up to Bennachie. Looks as though winter may finally be over (famous last words).

Today's pair are of Willisham Church

Had the day off yesterday so me and a mate went to Friston Forest (East Sussex) for a day out..
59km and 1750m of climbing..maybe not so little!!

Here's Phil (not me..) in the shot..

Trail bikes...

We managed to find the "UK's steepest trails" as featured in Brendog and Sam Pilgrim's recent youtube videos... they were RUDDY steep...fun though!!
DrP

Moorland singletrack
Looking forward to escaping the confines or our Council Area as from today!
Its not been the worst area for lockdown biking though...

Spin out into the Dales. Trails in excellent nick, shame about me.

Biking and Hillwalking today.
Sgaith Chuil above Glen Dochart today.

Banana & granola donut....gotta be healthy yes?
Finally got my two up Snowdon late afternoon - hardly anyone else up there.
Some stunning views on the descent as sun started to set.

Wait! Is that a snow covered mountain in E. Kent?
No, just a pile of excavated chalk in a farm field.

Just got home from a glorious ride around Rossendale with a good mix of road and gravel. It’s the first time I have pushed the Camino and it was a blast.

First time at Glentress since the first lockdown! (I pretty much missed the summer due to ill health and family stuff). First day of relaxed travel rules so I popped down, a little later to avoid the crowds. Spoiler: it's still really good. A lap of the red route seemed kind of symbolically appropriate, with some addons. Absolute perfect run down the Fort at the end with fading light, honestly couldn't have been better.
(I stood right here literally the first time I went to Glentress, back in 2009 with ChrisL and others, they were building this trail at the time and gave me a lift down so I could ride. Then it was the first trail I ever worked on myself, then I raced it in the EWS... But today felt as good as any of that, good to be back)
