Can anyone recommend anywhere that I can get a reasonably priced 11-42 11 speed shimano fit cassette please? It’s only for a second set of wheels so doesn’t need to be flash. THe xt and slx (even nx) are north of £75 at the moment due to lack of stock. I ordered a Clark’s one on eBay. Turned up with a “sunshine” logo on the lock ring and neither the 11 tooth or the lock ring actually fitted the freehub.
Thanks 😊
Can you use the 11t and lockring from your last cassette? Or another one rattling around in the spares box?
Microshift 11 spd cassettes - Shimano fitting, well priced, shifts nicely.
I bought mine from Europe last year, but there must be UK stockists...in fact I think Decathlon sell microshift stuff.
Not much cheaper, and also issues finding them, but a SRAM PG-1130 11-42 is about £60. I got one from Wiggle last week but looks like they are out now.
Tweeks have slx one for £69
I had this issue, ended up buying an slx cassette for significantly more than the last xt cassette i bought.
SunRace 11-42 - pick silver.
Have you tried searching for a Sunrace 11-42 cassette? Usually there are black and silver options and there is a heavier cheaper one and a lighter more expensive one. Think I paid maybe £40 for one late last summer.
Got a year out of a black Sunrace 11-42 10 speed cassette (MX3?), all weather riding. Didn't swap the chain in time. It would still be on the bike, perfect shifting with an 11 speed xt mech and Saint shifter but the chain snapped, so I replaced with another and it's also spot on.
Got 11 speed Sunrace (mx8?) on the full suss, also spot on but sees less action/crap. Think I paid about 45 quid on fleabay.
Sunrace ms8 / csms8 are as good as sram I was paying 40 last year cheapest I could get now was 57 on eBay.
