Anyone know how to fix this? It was fine until BST kicked in but now it is out by an hour (i.e. still showing GMT). I like to have time of day as a data field so it’s a bit of an annoyance.

You made me check mine and it says the correct BST time.  Has yours acquired a satellite fix and/or connected to your phone since the clocks changed?

Thanks. Yes I’ve done a number of rides since the clocks changed with the phone connected. Everything seems to be working fine (GPS tracks, livetrack etc) it’s just the time of day that is wrong. There doesn’t seem to be a setting for daylight savings time so I’m a bit stumped.

Is there a setting on the device to be on BST? If so, might need to be activated.

Not as far as I can tell. That would be the simplest option and it's what happens on the car sat nav. But I can't see any way of telling the device that we've moved to BST. Google keeps telling me that it just picks up the time from the satellite so just switch it on and go outside. But that doesn't work.

Is there a setting via Garmin Connect?

Something is probably wrong with your timezone map. Try connecting to Garmin Express on the computer. That should update it.

Also it might matter that you say that you've had your phone connected. There used to be an issue where the phone overrode the GPS (on this) AND there was a bug (on this). So you could also try getting a GPS fix without being connected to the phone (or wifi).

Thanks @savoyad. I downloaded the latest version of Garmin express and plugged the 530 into the computer. It spent hours updating the maps but when I unplugged it again it was showing the right time at last.

I had this problem with my 1000. It can happen. They take their time off the satellites but can go wrong. Express can fix them. In my case I have to delete a file and do a factory reset. Took ages as the only answer was through Garmin support.

Yeah I had the same issue this year with my 510. No idea why this year, but I plugged it in, ran the updates and all good now.

I've had the same for the last 6 months of so on my Edge 1000. Its currently "correct" I presume because of the hour change, but was wrong prior to that (but fine for the previous 4 or 5 years).
