BeOne Karma Comp

A hardtail that weighs in at under 26lbs for £550 can't be bad... or is it?

Anyone got any experience with these bikes?

Really tempted, currently have a 140mm full sus but want something light for the odd 10 hour race.

Current bike is a 19" can't decide between the 18" or 20" for a 6ft 1in with 33" inseam. Anyone got one?

That seems great value, basically deore brakes and cranks, slx drivechain bits, a fork that'd do, but with an upgraded fork that'd be a superb bike, you could get some rebas off the forum for £150-£200 and sell the toras for £80-100. (Damn upgrade-itis!)

I'm 6' 1ish and ride a 19" Karma from 2009.

I like it. Bought as a frame only though.

Regardless of the weight it's not going to be overly-heavy and I reckon it's a good build, even if it weighs 28lbs, you could drop it to nearer 26lbs upgrading the forks in a years time or whatever, could try ghetto-tubeless to loose some weight as well.

dont get me wrong, weight's not the be all and end all and I'm not trying to pee on the op's parade.

Still looks good value if its 28lb

Not saying its the case here but it would be nice though if honests weights could be given by bike brands

did a bit digging,

My frame has an ett of 585mm its a 19"

I run it with a 100mm stem and a layback post. (not sure how far) and it feels right for me at 6'1" and 34" inseam.

The 2011 frames, 18" has a 578mm ETT, 20" has 589mm ETT

HTH

The weight for the model above is also 26lbs... Having said that still a great bike for the money!

Mate of mine had a BeOne carbon HT from CRC.
He managed to rub a hole in the chainstay with his heel inside a fortnight.
CRC were their usual helpful selves, rather than offer a warrenty replacement they suggested he see a physio!
(He has taken paint off other frames, but not much of that)
One of the many reasons I wuld never buys anything from CRC.

Thanks mrlugz

a 19 would be perfect i think but as it's a choice between 18 or 20 i'll go for the 18.

Ett of the 18 is only 2mm shorter than my current full sus and that feels spot on.

I'll put it on the scales when it arrives to test the claimed weight!!

Interesting that they also list the Karma race at the same weight:
