if anyone else from the south manchester area (or massive) is going (hora, are you DEFINITELY going? ha!), and if it wouldn't be stupid of me to ride my "freeride-lite" bouncy bike (norco six, as my stiffee is not quite in riding order and i doubt it will be by then either), then i wouldn't mind coming along to this.
still never been to rivi, which is a bit rubbish considering how long i've lived here and how close it is...

Lowey, can you email me your mobile no. as it'll be a bit close to make it to the Barn for 9.30, so I'm thinking we can intercept you part way round and then drop off when we get back to Darwen.

Yes coming yes bringing cake ..given numbers wil someone else bring some ...despite rumours I am not Jesus and cannot feed the 5,000.
DONK you know you will still outride some of us no matter how hungover and there is a pub half way for a hair of the dog?
X herbivorex ride what you like it will be overkill and but sure it will get round and I am bringing (vegan) cakes for the end ride so we can form a niche all of our own.

Vortex lift up for me bike and cakes please

Lowey you riding tomorrow? if so what time as I am going out later due to mothers day

The weather better be nicer than this weekend the wind was absolutely horrific over Belmont/Darwen way.... very hard work indeed including peddaling HARD downhill on roads at as much as 6 mph in places and not freewheeling anywhere!!!!.... did manage to plan some short cuts though....mainly based around sitting in pubs waiting for you to do the Darwen Loop. Trails generally pretty dry relatively so some more dry weather would be nice.
Cheers for the more cakes offer as well should be a super day out

i managed a quick hour local yesterday morning and it was pretty calm, when i got back i couldn't beleive how windy it was. I think someone needs to bring a trailer along for the amount of cakes needed, **** me. Should be a good day.

liked his style knee/shin pads and no helmet safety conscious but up to a point ...he had just ridden down the path at the side of the dog kennels on this BTW.

The only thing is DONK that we will have another hour at the other end.

Which given the number of folk going and the abundance of cake stops we will probably need.

Holy Sh!t... I didnt think this would attract so many people. Still, the more the merrier I suppose.

As mentioned previously, certain parts of this ride will be cheeky (and boggy), so if anyone has a problem with this, dont blame me. You have been warned.

Oh and DONK, we get an extra hour in bed, not loose one matey.

[i]'As mentioned previously, certain parts of this ride will be cheeky'

If any of the Ramling fraternity complain we'll just tell em its a peaceful protest at the rambler-centric open access laws that oh-so conveniently exclude a whole load of other country side users from enjoying the English countryside.

I'll start a new thread on wednesday or thursday for a roll call.

Just ask certainties to post otherwise we could be hanging around for ages waiting for people to turn up mate.

Looking forward to remorselessly ripping the p!ss out of you Danny for the shed incident though.

TBH the redsocks round Rivvy are usually friendly and OK about bikes.

I'm not sure if they still will be with 2 dozen of us though.

I do like to push the envelope; rad, sic an all that - the shed was the only one that has left me broken tho 😕

Hope the wind dies down for weekend, it was pure evil on sunday on Great Hill!
