Worse case. If it really is as bad as the above pics we could always hit a trail centre in Wales etc?

will I have to ride. Its almost an alcoholic urge. Yesterday I was severely hungover and I dragged myself over Leith Hill etc in Surrey. I was still hungover AFTER the ride ๐Ÿ˜•

Ditto. Over the peak district. Nothing quite like falling into mel****er to make you realised how much you value your toes.

Wales is a bit far for me though I must admit.

On Sat I was thoroughly soaked to the skin. Mind you I did flip over and roll in the slush ๐Ÿ˜€

Wharncliffe a good idea, only problem I think is that when I last went and it was really wet it was a bit of a quagmire. Needed urgent work doing there which I'm not sure has happened. Anyone ride it recently?

deffo still doing a ride of some sort. Think white peak or wharncliffe. Having said that what about dalby? Although would rather a natural ride.

Even if we walk it- **** it. You dont know for definite until on the day what its going to be like. Plus it could turn out to be a stonker. Plus I was reading at the weekend that the BBC is planning on dropping the Metoffice for its forecasts as they have been found to be wildly inaccurate.

There is another option. It may seem a bit crazy but here I go anyway. We could all meet up in a well publicised area, then ride to the nearest pub, eat and drink and talk about bikes and stuff. Then we pretend we've been out riding.

I'm not looking at alcohol ever again.

On completely the other end of the scale, I've heard that there's this stuff which you can drop from planes that warms the ground up. I assume it would melt the snow ultra fast enabling us to ride on dry dusty trails. I think it's called napalm? Surely that must be of use to us in some way.

I think a plastic sheet in the camelbak to sledge down the hills will be a genius option looking at those pics. ๐Ÿ˜€

just checked my bike over and the front brake still works even after my ham fisted bleeding of it so it looks like i'm all set to go.

Big orange survival bag at the ready, but if the ride is viable, I could bring along the Maxlight XC. Snow is all gone here in Doncaster, it took some heavy rain to clear it. Where does the snow start at? Looking at the Outside shop webcam, Hathersage/Stanage seem fairly clear.

Ohh very tempting................

Havent got any off road disco slippers though ๐Ÿ™ been using my roadie shoes for the last few months, no need for anything more round here as there are no slippery rocks!
