Depending on what kind of finish you want, you could get it shotblasted. I had mine done, it was already bare Ti though. The bloke who did it said he wouldn't do another because he couldn't see where he'd already been. He'd had to take it out of the cabinet every few minutes, so took him twice as long as he'd thought. Only cost me £25 and saved me a lot of time (saved me giving it a brushed finish).

^ I wouldn't jump to that assumption.
I wouldn't go with blasted - unless the person uses something very gentle as blasting any thin wall material can end horribly - holes, distortions etc.
I would just go with paint stripper and wire wool and a couple of pairs of marigold gloves. Or maybe get it dipped.
