[Closed] stress fractures - how long to recover?

Went to bed feeling fine, woke up at 5 in agony emanating from my tight foot. A&E reckon it could be a stress fracture of the second metatarsal but nothing showing on the X-Ray, recommendation is to see the go if it's no better in 2 weeks.

Working on the assumption it is a stress fracture then how long to recover and start riding.

Not sure where it came from, single speed for 7hrs at the Gorrick 100 last weekend and was fine, rode 10 minutes to the shops last night and now in a state of disrepair.
