[Closed] Strava like and comment change in app.
Just opened my app and when scrolling down the feed it looks different. Cant remember exactly what it looked like before...What's changed? (Android app)
I used to see activities of everyone I follow in date order so I knew what they'd been up to. Now it's what appears to be a random mess probably based on some algorithm that doesn't reflect what I want to see
I waiting for them to have an option to choose specific activities. Too many people on my feed putting stupid things like walking their dog, their 5 day a week usual commute and an evening stroll with their wife/kids on there ... why would they even think anybody would be interested!!
For me - the whole point of seeing what somebody has ridden is to learn new routes. But it seems some people think they are all celebrity.
Yeah, I make all my commutes private, apart from this month when I've been doing the distance challenge. Still get Kudos from people, (and not just the really random ones from places I've never been) can't understand it.
It's more the like and comment boxes seem different.. or am I imagining it?

Its not facebook, people don't track their walk to share with others. People use it to track their activity. I couldn't give a FF if anybody looks or doesn't look at mine, its there for me.

My point exactly; its not facebook where people feel the need to post pics of their lunch. And why the need to track a walk with kids/wife/dog? is it such a big event? isn`t the point of doing so to spend time with them, and not be playing on your phone??
I get the impression some people are convinced they are celebrities, that they are so interesting that people want to know every second of their life.
They need filters that allow you to -
Hide peoples activities without unfollowing them
Hide activities that are less than a specified distance / duration etc
They also need to keep them in chronological order.
And finally Strava need to pull their finger out. There's far too many quick win features that should have been implemented a long time ago. It's like a half finished product at the moment
I created a new segment a couple of days ago (run not bike as it's in a city centre) why doesn't it show as a segment in explorer yet? But somehow I have the KOM or whatever the run version of that is.
Does someone else need to run it? Or me again? What the dilly-o?
Agreed, more or less why I unsubbed. And finally Strava need to pull their finger out. There's far too many quick win features that should have been implemented a long time ago. It's like a half finished product at the moment
I think like and comment have swapped sides or am I just imagining it?
Yes that's what prompted me to post this.. wasn't there a middle tab with something on it too that's now gone?
They're rolling out the new feed gradually, despite the backlash on their own feedback forum:
