Have been riding full rigid for over 5 years but fancy getting the new Stooge Mk3 and putting some bouncy forks on.

What's good these days and what fork accepts 29+...or is that not needed with bouncy forks.

Cheers

I think tazzy is in the middle of building a bouncy mk3 .

I think the new Manitou Mattoc 'family' has a plus fork in the range.

Rockshox Judy gold 120mm 51mm offset boost hub takes both 650+ and 29+. Most boost forks will be a 650+ bit struggle with height clearance for the 29+. Judy takes a dirt wizard and bombolini with oodles of clearance. Going into the mk3 with an angleset to try a few different things to see what can be done with the frame.

The demo large with a suspension fork has got a boost 120reba in it. Any boost fork should do up to 2.8 on a 650b+ main thing really is for a 51 mm offset to keep as close to the fork that that frame is designed to play with. 46mm or under and it all get a bit bleugh in tight corners. Still workable but just not quite as good as can be

Cheers Tazzy

I’m not totally set on having one that takes 29+ as the ‘cush’ obviously comes from the bouncy fork. The correct offset is however IMO critical to how it handles.

Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Thread revival.

So I got Andy to make me a Ti Stooge based on a bouncy fork and 650b+ tyre clearance. Just back from it's first few outings in Torridon and my local trails. It's very nice!
