LIDLs is better than that over-priced stuff from the German Market too.

I was considering toasting a slice seeing as i am roasting some nuts dans le oven.

oh and correct about Lidl - about 2000 calories a loaf!

make my own - apparently the marzipan represents Christ being swaddled in clothes.

Lastnight's Xmas party was stollen and Mohito fuelled... messy messy messy- woke to discover the living room floor awash with lime slices , mint and icing sugar, and found a current in my ear....

I had to surgically remove the last slice of stollen from the window it was stuck to- mmm breakfast!

I tried some Asda stollen, it was naff and easily recreated by folding a slice of warburtons toastie around a bit of marzipan. Can recommend the stuff from Waitrose though, can really taste the generous helping of rum thats in it.

nom nom nom...lidl stollen is gooood! and cheap 😀

watch out for morrisons chocolate yule log (refrigerated) usually a highlight come christmas 😀
