[Closed] Stolen Iron Horse MkIII frame - South Manchester

Depressing these threads aren't they?

At some point in the last week (I was on a wine drinking Holiday in the south of France, oh and I got to see Bob Dylan live in a medieval castle) some little front bottom unscrewed the hinges on my shed in sunny South Manchester and made off with my Iron Horse MKIII Comp frame.

The frame is pretty much a one of a kind in that they are rarer than rocking horse excrement and had a 2005 battleship grey front and 2007 black rear. It is also distinctive as it has had helicopter tape applied in the most cack handed way you might have ever seen.
The bike looked terrible and rode like a dream and was only in just a frame form as it was awaiting a strip and respray.

There were a number of secured and much more expensive bikes in said shed that now live in my house and it is my dearest wish that said sneaky little robber comes back as I wish to communicate my disapproval of his behaviour to him in person.

Oh and here is a pic. Cheers STWers

I'm guessing it'll be resprayed or just ridden round. Will take Bingo out and about every evening this week. When I've done this before I've come across a fair old assortment of bikes with the owners looking 'out of sorts'.

wine drinking holiday? Overstating it a little?

Anyway, hope you bump into the thieving scrote to 'have a chat' about his light fingerdness

My guess is that no scrote will bother building it up and will just try to offlaod it either in a dodgy boozer or online.

And I think a wine drinking holiday is very apt as that is what I did for the vast majority of the time!

That's stink bro. I've got to find a welder to get my swingarm fixed. No chance of getting a new one now.

I'm in Altrincham and will keep and eye out. Might be worth a few trips to the car boot sales every Sunday in Chelford as there is sometimes a van selling bikes there. Last time I was there I spotted a p7 as we drove towards the car park. I went over to have a look after parked but it had gone and the other bikes were usual Halfords ones - probably still nicked though!

Hadn't thought of Chelford, I'll have a nip down there on Sunday. Cheers for that. I remember being down there a couple of years back and seeing a lad who I knew from my time at uni who I was convinced was dodgy flogging the contents of a house that didn't seem like it was his. If I see it I might pay the airgun man a visit.
