[#2779111]

A local has had his pride and joy stolen from his garage. He's saved up for sometime to buy it and its been nicked within a matter of weeks.

He's gutted as the insurance won't cover it and will take him a long time to save up the funds to get anything to replace it.

Seems the most likely course of events was that he was followed home by some monkeys from Leckhampton Hill.

Anyway, please keep your eyes out either on the Forums or in the area (if your are local) for the following:

Blue Giant glory with yellow Deemax rims,
Marzocchi bomber 888 RC3 2009 forks,
5th element rear shock,
Grey wellgo pedals

Cheers.

Sorry to hear that - will keep my eyes open in Nam and when I am Ashton Court etc.

I have heard of a few people being followed back from Daisybank car park. There are always some scrotes smoking funny fags up there when we come off the hill. We park at the foot of the hill near the gym to avoid parking in Daisybank. Do 5.0 know that this is happening, maybe some extra patrols etc? Or vigilante style vengence.........

Yeah 5.0 have been informed and they have a log of loads of vehicles they are using.

Really P's me off hearing about this. Annoys me that a car can get stolen worth around the same amount of money or less and the cops get involved but a bike worth between £2-5k nothing happens! If the bikes being stolen were only worth under £200 then I'd understand. But this must be costing the insurance companies and individuals fortunes as so many get nicked.

Agreed mate. Had some Yoofs approach me when I was recovering from coming off the hill in daisybank on my 575 on my own last month. Ususal "nice bike mister", "how many gears", "whats that worth" banter. Just as well I am a big ugly lump, but I can see them chancing their arms with single smaller / younger riders (like has been happening in Ashton Court recently) and someone getting a stick over the head and losing their bike.

Lets see if 5.0 do anything proactive or use the resource to just stick more camera vans on New Barn Lane, or A40 instead. Better for stats!! 😕

Can't believe it's so blatant and nothing can be done
