[#7969399]

JUST STOLEN TODAY:
Two mtb's from the Crookes area of Sheffield:

1.Canfield Brothers Balance frame, anodised black with green linkages and a CCDB air CS. The wheels are hope front pink, and rear true precision stealth hub on derby carbon ribs with sapim cx ray spokes. Hope v4 tech 3 brakes, atlas monster bars/stem. As a bike it is unique, and even as parts they're pretty special.

2. Trek Mamba - large grey/blue - pretty stock.

Both of these are, like all bikes to all cyclists, worth a lot to their owners - me and a friend. If you have any information, or see it on any website/email - please send word.

Some more details around these sort of posts would always be useful I feel, mainly around how they were stolen, to help the rest of us take more precautions if nothing else.
Big difference between them being taken from a leaky wooden shed compared to a secure brick building and having to cut through chains and ground anchors.
My mates bike was taken yesterday, he only left it for a moment at work in what is a quiet secluded area with no through traffic unlocked and some scum had it away, lesson learnt, never leave it unlocked.
Canfield sounds great, any pics?
Hope you get them back.

It was a house break in . You can't really do much against that. The only thing I can say is check all windows are shut every time you leave during summer. I'm not saying the OP did this but I've been guilty of leaving the odd window open this summer.

Ah a house break in is harsh. I feel quite secure storing my bikes in the lounge, but if the scum are going to break into the house for your goods, then I guess its more than the bikes that you are going to loose.
Devastating.

Quite distinctive bikes so with a bit of luck they may alert somebody when they try and get rid. Not too local to you mate but will keep my eyes open in and around Bradford.

Hope you get them back!

Thanks for the support!
Yeah - sadly it wasnt even a mistake, the thieving bastards broke the patio doors to get in!

The frame is pretty special, but the wheelset is unique, just hoping someone spots it if it does go up for sale.

Going to keep bikes chained even in doors from now, an upsetting development.

Is it legal to clobber someone if you spot them with your stuff? Probably not ๐Ÿ˜†
