[#2337719]

Just had call from 2 gutted mates.

Stolen tonight off 2 bike racks at the Apple Tree pub in Woodmancote after a ride on Cleeve hill -

1 x medium Lapierre Zesty 514 09 (white) XT kit standard
1 x 2009 large red & white Gary Fisher Hi Fi pro, <unusual as has 07 XTR rear mech, 2009 Fox 140 RL forks (white), XT 2009 chainset - all non standard.>

Not my bikes, but mates.

Little sods pulled the bikes until the roof racks buckled, then used a bar to forced the lock handle. Be Aware.

If anyone has any information or sees them advertised (Gary Fisher is easy to spot as had a frame and fork replacement so non standard kit on it).

Any info please call Nick on 07827308818, I am sure there will be a big drink in it for you.

Always padlock your bikes to the rack when left un watched, think would you leave your tv on the roof rack when in the pub.Why not fit a rape type alarm to the bike with some fishing wire, they pull the bikes and the alarm goes off.

Sad for your mates loss though.

I'll keep my eyes peeled - have posted up on the local trailbuilding site too.

Your mates put a saved search on ebay or google yet? I know a few bikes that have been recovered weeks after using this method.
