Just got my bike out the shed and went to spin the peddles backwards and they were very stiff, do I need to strip the BB? Or more likely to be the freehub? They are the new style XTR but about 4 years old but not had much riding. Bike does live in a damp shed!!
Any ideas

BB sounds ****ed to me, saying that it could be the chain/cassette or event the rear hub

It is the one that has the arm straight though, with the other arm held on by allen bolts if that makes sence. easy to change or re-grease?

Take the chain off & isolate the problem
