stem spacers - abov...
 

[Closed] stem spacers - above or below?

thought i'd try and place my spacers above my stem rather than below, to try and see if it helped lowering my ride position slightly.

will i get any issue not having a spacer before the stem and the top headset "bit".

not gone for a ride like t yet to know if it makes much difference.

No, the spacers are only there to make the bike fit you properly (as long as you put em in the right place anyway)

ive had to put a few spacers below my stem because the faceplate was fouling the top headset. its doing that because its a really short stem, 50mm i think.

its actually a combination of that and how much your wheels weigh. that is the single most critical thing along with everything else.

I drilled some alu ones, but the results were negligible.
