is anyone running a steel pinion bike ?
pics and details please.
Not me but TJD built one for local rider Tom (with the big dog) - rad angles:
Curtis make them.
I guess you've seen the Priority cycles one promoted by Ryan Duzer on YouTube? Would need to be imported though. Early stages of designing a cheaper one too it sounds like.
Priority are Alu AFAIK
Olsen, travers, possibly smokestone, sonder but all Ti.
There's a German brand, name escapes me for now that does steel. I'm definitely curious but it is quite a big initial outlay.
The latest gear systems should be a game changer, hopefully not just for the e-market
Tout Terrain?
Tout terrain - that's the one
thanks all.
i dont want Ti. been down the expensive Ti route. dont want to again.
that Curtis looks perfect.
Not sure if Curtis still do pinion you’d need check. Long lead times for pinion and brexit he was reckoning mine might be one of his last.
Price wise you’re deep into Ti pricing once you’re looking custom steel plus gearbox. the Sonder Ti frame plus pinion will be a good chunk cheaper than Curtis.

Very nice! “Right” angles (good not perpendicular) as well as rad angles in my book of how to build a hardtail!
