I've volunteered to startup up a cycling usergroup on our business park near Bristol to get more people interested in cycling and alternative means of transport.

Anyone have any experience, web platforms or networks that i can tap into?

My aim is to capture fellow cyclists contact details and interest, who are on our business park and share; cycling news and activities, invite to repair and training event, and cycling activities, encourage development of shared facilities, and best practice for companies with employees who ride to work.

Any feedback ideas and experiences appreciated

This was in out local mag this month. No idea if it is any use or if you are eligible, though: https://www.lifecycleuk.org.uk/free-cycle-parking

For the group side of things I'd be looking at an existing platform. Probably facebook but whattsapp might be good too

Anyone else experience with user group platforms that are easy or cheap to tailor to users needs?

Phone local council cycling officer and ask for free local maps, also Sustrans for same, contact a local mobile bike mechanic and see if he can offer his services, produce flyers and leave in all local offices/workshops,have a chat to local cycling groups, flyers about short rides to work.

Bike with a advert board left in prominent location with contact details for peope to see, eg entrances to car parks, use an old scrappy bike and obtain permission first
