Looking for a tyre change to drop some weight but still keep a solid level of grip on my T130, and the Onza Ibex/Canis looks promising. Would be the 2.25 both ends, though I hear they come out a bit bigger in reality. Any tried them or know if they're any good?

My favourite combo. the sidewalls on the Canis are a little thin, but they grip and roll really well and are tough considering the weight.

The Ibex is hands down my favourite tyre. used it for several years on the surrey hills and it works in all conditions. bit like a high roller, but more predicatable

just make sure you buy the right compound/casing variation.

Wasn't that impressed by the Ibex myself, it had a nice supple carcass but the rubber seemed to lack grip (it was supposed to be 55a but frankly I doubt that). Like a worse highroller basically. OTOH it was great value, cost me £20, impressed with that.

I quite like the Ibex, like an HR2 (which im a fan of) but better in mud, though not a mud tyre

there are lots of variants though

I've used Canis and Lynx and really like them.
