Anyone using ( or felt the need for )an Angleset headset on a Stanton Slackline?
Can/ should it be done?
Should give 66.5 or 67.5 head angle for more stability when pointed down.
Pushes the front end further out meaning less weight on the front wheel, will also give you a higher caster so heavier steering.
If you wash out the rear wheel before the front and your steering is a bit light then by all means.
What do you want to hear?
as an aside, your steering rate and the point of inversion (where your bicycle will start self stabilising) will be at a higher speed too. But I think if you're talking about 66/67deg headangles low speed steering is not the issue
Does anyone make one for a 1 1/8th external headtube?
On One have an external one, but depends on head tube length for the correct version. Just about to put one I have my inbred, oh btw only alters ha by a degree.
I wouldn't bother. It is an all rounder, so slacken the head angle and it will lose some of its charms.
