Have a set of 29er wtb st i23 29" rims that I want to run tubeless which is the best rim strips or rim tape?

St i23's have WTBs TCS beaded rim. They should be tubeless compatible. I believe wtb recommend gorilla branded duct tape. Wickes sell handy 25mm wide rolls of it for about £2.50... 🙂

^ sparky tape is also popular... Or if you like there are places on eBay selling rolls of Tesa tape that's a ringer for Stans at a fraction of the price per metre

Initially picked up the stans rubber liner with valve and couldn't get it inflated for love nor money. Rim tape and valve worked first time.

Gorilla tape was brilliant cheers and £2.70 a roll! Toro's went up first time this morning and are still up, no leaks cheers again,

I've got some easton xc rims, which are 17C, are they too narrow/unsuitable for ghetto tubeless?

Strips are good if you swap tyres a lot.

I just use tape now though.
