Hi Folks

Excuse my naivety but I have always bought complete bikes and I am thinking on embarking on my own build for the first time and need some advice!!

I have my eyes on an Orange ST4 frame and I am thinking of taking my Orange P7 Pro components and transferring them straight across.

The only thing I can't find any info on is for the fork. The Orange website says that it will take a 140mm travel fork but everywhere I look it is always with a 120mm.

Is there anyone out there who has a ST4 with a 140mm fork? The one I have is a Fox Float 32 R.

If anyone has any thoughts it would be much appreciated!

130mm Max in the geometry tab.

140mm with 100mm rear would feel a bit odd, no?

Cheers ferrit!!

I had for some reason looked at the warranty page which put the max at 140mm!!

You're right would probably feel odd - just had my eyes on a cheap frame ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'd give it a go.
Dunno how the geo would differ but my giant trance with 105mm rear travel has 130 forks up front and have heard of others with more.

Give it a go I suppose!

If Foxs are in good nick, you could probably sell 'em for a good price and get some Pikes/Revelations/TALAS?

If the floats do make it feel a bit odd, you can always reduce the travel to 120 or 100mm
