Has anyone on here had experience with the type 2 x9 if they're any good or is there something I should watch out for when fitting it as I've never used/installed a clutching mech before. I'll be using it with the x5 shifters that are on there already. Advice appreciated. It should arrive tmw. *excited*
Running mine with x7 shifters with no probs. it just does what it says on the tin really. Nothing especially complicated or magical about it I'm afraid. Just very effective. Given the relatively small price difference between type 2 and non-type 2 why wouldn't you?
Having ridden one on a demo bike, I was pretty impressed and will be getting one next month for my new bike.
It was quieter than mine, but not as silent as the press make out. I didn't lose a chain though, despite it being on a dual ring set up.
Cool. Glad I splashed the extra £16 for the type 2 then. Result Thanks for the responses. I had to ask as there is always threads on shadow+ but never the sram equivalent. So I guess they're not as popular.
