Hi all, I've recently bought a Scott Scale 35, which is a lovely bike even if the SRAM X9 rear mech is causing me grief. I can live with the inaccessible cable bolt and clamp, but what is really annoying is pulling the rear mech out of the way when I take the wheel out... it's easy to pull a Shimano rear mech backwards out of the way when refitting the rear wheel but the SRAM mech doesn't want to do this, so every time I take the bike somewhere by car rear wheel refitting is a headache.
Is there an easy way to do this?
It should be as easy as with a Shimano mech - is your mech swinging freely around the main pivot?
yes, it swings freely, just doesn't want to seem to pull back
Sell it to me for £5
