I think I’ve read something about this before but can’t remember if it was 11 or 12 speed (if that matters).
Can Shimano and Sram shifters and rear mechs be used together?
I’ve got a 12 speed GX Eagle setup and was wondering about fitting an SLX rear mech. Sram Cassette and chain would also be staying.

Yes - I Have run with XTR shifter and SRAM rear mech and cassette. I have also had Shimano shifter and mech with SRAM Cassette and Chain.
And I have seen videos of SRAM AXS running with Shimano chain and cassette.
ALL 12 speed.
