[#7969615]

Looking to change my old 1x10 shimano drive train to sram 1x11. Was looking at;

SRAM NX PG-1130 11 Speed Cassette - It says it doesnt need the XD driver so can use my current hub.
SRAM GX11 Speed Trigger Shifter - Assume like shimano the shifters are nicer the higher spec
SRAM GX 1x11 Speed Rear Derailleur - As above assuming better than NX

Or is there any value in getting a 2nd hand X01 etc if its significantly better? Also am i ok mix and matching between levels?

I've got NX-11 shifter and derailleur but went for the GX cassette due to the weight of the NX cassette.

NX -538g
GX -394g

I'd be tempted by the posher shifter personally.

I'm running a GX mech and cassette with an X01 shifter / chain. I like the fact that the triggers can be adjusted. I've also found that the posher shifters last longer than the cheaper ones.

The GX shifter doesn't come with a clamp, an assumption is made that you have an MMX clamp with your brake or reverb on the right side of the bar that it attaches to.

The NX shifter has a clamp built in, this is not MMX.

Does it not? I'm sure my XO1 shifter came with one...and so did the Guide brakes so I seem to have loads of the clamps kicking about.

But he wants to use his existing wheels so only the NX will fit .

Ahha, I may have made a mistake there, sorry for misleading everyone, it might have come with a clamp but I bought brakes, reverb and shifter at the same time so I've confused myself.
I can be sure though that the GX shifter I bought doesn't come with a cable outer, only an inner. Which is weird.

Just ordered;

NX cassette
X1 Chain
X1 shifter
GX Mech

LBS say the X1 shifter has the discrete clamp included - thanks everyone

Don't think any of the shifters I've bought came with outer (inc. Shimano ones).

Got to say that I do like the MMX system though.

That's only OEM stuff. Proper aftermarket comes with everything you need.

Running full GX with twisties ๐Ÿ˜‰

If you can swap the freehub do it, good range and a great weight
