All seemed to wash off today and has been taking forever to dry
when applied so thinking about going back to extreme so question
is do i need to degrease it all again or just stick on the extreme?
I've not had much sucess using Squirt, i,ve now opted for the Rock 'n' Roll stuff,
If it were me i would de-grease the whole drive train and start over !
Are you letting the chain completely dry? Are you applying it right before a ride or letting it dry? Needs a totally dry chain and needs to be dry way before a ride. Sticking it on right before a ride will have it off very quickly.
Db yep totally dry chain, applied last night and still wet this morning
so ended up drying it with a hairdryer with diffuser fitted,been using it for the spring summer and really happy so far and its probably lasting
as long as extreme in the mud and rain its just extreme is easier to apply at this time of year!
I loved it through summer, but its a bit of a pain to keep up with now its really wet, gone back to oil based, but will switch back to squirt in the spring I think.
I've switched to using RnR Extreme as the Squirt wouldn't dry but can you put the RnR Extreme on a wet chain? I'd prefer to get it on after a ride before the chain drys to a nice orange but wasn't sure if it should be dry first.
Strange...how cold is it where you are? I apply it liberally in the evening and by morning it is totally dry. Bike isn't kept inside the house so I'm guessing it's the same temp where it is as it is outside.
Just outside Edinburgh so not too bad, anyway just soaked it in
boiling soapy water and dumped it in the degreaser,
