[#1328087]

I have a pair of XM321 rims on Hope XC hubs and I want to change the rims for XC717 disc.
I can't seem to get Hope hubs on the DT Swiss spoke calc, but when I work it out using a random hub, the spoke length comes out +1mm for each.
Will I be able to rebuild the wheels using the same spokes? They never got any use with the heavier rims, so they're virtually brand new.

Cheers!

will be fine. you need the flange to be 10mm bigger for 1mm more spoke length (3 cross)

Mavic uses a "Spoke Support Diameter," which is 536mm. Then you add 4mm for the ERD (Effective Rim diameter).
ERD for XM321=540mm
ERD size for XC717=538.5mm

thus you have spokes which will be at least 1.5 mm longer in theory you have easily got 1mm leverage each way so it fhtey are on the short side then should be fine - Might be best to take one out and measure it?

Edit: I found this spoke calculator that I used last week - its great:

sorry it doesn't have the XC hub on it though - thry this and wheel pro?

Excellent, thanks for all the advice. Just ordered the rims and started to worry a bit when I saw a thread about the price of spokes!!!

Thanks again...
