Rebuilt a wheel (Light Bicycle carbon rim) after several spokes broke. Now set up tubeless and I can hear a rattle in it - I suspect I didn’t manage to get one of the spoke heads out.
Other than an annoying rattle, reckon it’s safe to leave as-is? As a confirmed lazy person I’d rather do that than pop the tire and tape off and fish it out then retape and reseat tire, it if that’s the STW recommendation, that’s what I’ll do.
Thoughts?
do you mostly ride on your own?
It’ll not have any effect on the rim. Personally, I couldn’t (and didn’t) leave it (a piece of loose carbon) when it happened to me. I could only hear it at home or when wheeling the bike, but just knowing it was in there really pissed me off.

If not, he will be!
Is there enough room inside the rim to get the loose part out through the valve hole? Would still need to remove the tyre but would save you re-taping.

Lol! I guess that and others above answers it! 🙂 will try to get out the valve hole first, but suspect knowing the laws of Sod and Murphy, I’ll be taking the tape off and then faffing about with magnets for several hours.

I hate to burst your bubble but I'll lay odds it's a bit of a nipple
Magnets not going to help you much. Nipples are brass or alloy and the spokes likely to be stainless steel. When I've had to get nipples out.in the past a good shake has normally sorted it.
