Trying to get parts together to build up a rear wheel. It'll be a Crest rim on either a DT 370 hub or a Pro 2 Evo. DT Comp spokes, 14mm nipples.

My LBS are building it for me, I just need to order up the parts. Since I don't know what I'm doing, I'm using the two spoke calculators below to try to make sure my spoke lengths are right.

Problem is, for both hubs, I get different results - for example, 271 both sides for the Pro 2 on EDD, but 260 each side from DT Swiss.
I'm clearly doing something stupid - can anyone help out?
Huh? Different hubs require different length spokes, that's why they come in different lengths.
Fairly sure you don't want 271 though, and I'd expect shorter on the disc side. Not used the first one, but are you putting in 32h, 3 cross on the DT one?
Yep, 32h, 3 cross on both.
I got 271 for the Pro 2 on the EDD site, and 260 for the Pro 2 on the DT Swiss site.
I see, thought you mean you were getting 260 for the DT hubs, not the DT calculator!
What ERD are you using for the rims?
540 is what the EDD site listed for the Crest, so I was sing that
Although checking the Stan's site, they list 541.
Hmm. Getting 260.7 and 261.5 from the one below for the Pro 2. Closer to the DT measurements.

Sorry to bump this - anyone whop knows that they're doing able to confirm the right sizes for me?
Stans Crest rim has an ERD of 541 according to the notubes web site.
For 12mm nipples I get as above suggests 261 Non drive side 260.2 drive side for the pro 2 eveo hub
32 x 260mm spokes should be fine for this.
For the Dt Swiss 370 hub i get 261.5 Non drive side and 261 for drive side calculated for 12mm nipples
you could go for 32 x 262 for this wheel build or 16 x 262 and 16 x 260
IF YOU WANT TO USE 14mm NIPPLES SUBTRACT 1mm FROM CALCULATED FIGURES AND RE-JIG SPOKE LENGTHS TO SUIT.
Have a look at rose bikes for your spokes, they sell them in packs of 20 so you would then have a few spares if one brakes down the line. Nipples from rose are purchased seperately but you should get all the spokes in black including nipples for less than £25 including P&P
[edit] by the looks of it of you go for 14mm nipples you should get away with 260mm spokes for both wheel builds [/edit]
Cool, thanks Rusty, appreciate the help.
