My wife's Myka needs a new fork as the current one is very "tired".
I've no idea what to buy to replace it with but the bike is in great condition and would last a few more years with a new fork. We replaced the groupset 2 yrs ago and it runs really well and more importantly she is very happy with it so doesn't want a new bike..
Anyone got any ideas on which forks to buy?
any ideas?
You could go for any 26" 1 1/8" fork, there will be many around second hand for not a lot of money. I'd go for something like a Rockshox SID or Reba, maybe in 120mm rather than the 100mm the bike will have come with for a little more comfort.

We put a basic rockshox on my missus Myka - at 100mm. Recon silver IIRC
If the Myka you have is similar to the ones my wife and daughter have them they are 80mm forks. Not sure I'd go more than 100mm as a replacement but that is up to you.
What budget?
This any good:
Thanks. I suppose she'd want to stick with the 80mm fork as she really likes the bike the way it is. Having said that if 100mm are easier to get hold of, it will do
Budget is up to £150
As above I think the 13+15 myka wsd frames are only 80mm travel and I also think that they had lighter springs in them as well.
ps check brake mount - it's IS isn't it, most new forks are post so you may need an adapter
? how much would be a full rebuild (*not knowing the state of your forks)
fyi - suntour do cheap 80mm ones (fleabay)
if you get a deal could you let me know as I will have same issue soon, ta

My wife has a 2012 Myka Sport and that has 80mm forks (17" frame)
The only difference you can really tell on the forks (Suntour) to the ones on my daughters bike (2013 Myka Disc with 15" frame) is the that the wife's forks have a lockout level on them.
