Am I wrong to be annoyed by this? Speedplay, now owned by Wahoo, have stopped producing X, Frog & Syzr pedals. That's fine. What's not fine in my opinion is that they've wholly stopped producing the cleats too. I've 4 pairs of X series and a pair of Frogs, so about £500 of pedals, all fully working fine (despite the age of some of them, they just keep rocking on) but now, as the cleats wear out, I can't even buy their (vastly overpriced anyway) cleats. You could buy a pair of X today, and a year from now go to buy some cleats and find you've wasted a load of money.

Look still made & you can still get Delta cleats despite Delta not being produced for at least 10yrs. Surely Speedplay/Wahoo have a duty to provide replacement cleats for a reasonable period, like, say, 5yrs?

Are cleats available now? Just buy a few.

Totally sold out. There's been a rumour for a few months that this was gonna happen. Managed to get some X cleats but Frog, nope. Cleats, just cleats, are being sold for over £100 on fleabay.

Isn't the Zero cleat unofficially backwards compatible? i.e. speedplay said they didn't work together, but some users found they could run a Zero cleat on an X pedal...

Its annoying, but its been fairly obvious it was going this way for some time now. 3 sets of X series pedals here and pathologically opposed to dumping things that aren't broken! 🙁

My current cleats are OK, but planning to try the Zero cleat option at some point. I've only seen one post suggesting they worked OK, but can only imagine that it will become more well tested over the next few months
