Got some Captain tires at discount. One is Control, the other SWorks.

What do those terms mean?

Only used to using Contis.

Control has thicker/tougher sidewall. Sworks lighter.
Control rear/swoks front is what a lot of folk do.
If not bothered about grams, go control (I've ripped 2 sworks)

Control used to mean front specific.
They had the [tyre name] Control and the [tyre name] Master - front and rear.

The only confusing part is that they use the same terms across the range- so people thing a Control Butcher will be no tougher than a Control Fast-trak frinstance, though they're totally different.
