Keen on this bike and wondering if anyone owns one or has tested. How do they ride? Only ever owned steel 29ers so how does a Alu big wheel hardtail feel?

Thanks.

I bought a 2012 in November...so sweet....only changes I've made have been the seat and the bars/grips. I have a medium frame...and I'm 5'8" tall 155 lbs. Most of the riding I do is rolling hills no extended steep climbs mostly shorter punchy stuff. for the flowing fast trails around here in central north carolina it hammers and I never feel like I'm in need of any lower gearing so the 1x10 is perfect for the area. No issues so far with anything...very stiff...I've only gotten to put may be a 100 miles on her so far. I find myself just looking at the matte with gloss black on black paint job sometimes on rainy days...its a sick machine. And oh...25lbs with xt pedals...took it to work and set it on the digital. Get one.

i looked at one of these when i was buying a new bike - but couldnt justify the extra £700 over a Canyon 29er - similar spec, geo and colour - and just as nice imo (arrives today).

Worth looking at the whyte 829 as its a better spec and slightly cheaper. Looks better in the flesh IMO

My riding buddy has got one. It's his first 29er after being a bit of a hater. He loves it and rides it everywhere. Very neutral and quick, but not too racey. It is also IMHO the best looking bike Spesh has made in years.
