what are they like to walk in? I looked at some last week and the sole looks quite slippery in some bits so wondered how they would be walking on rocky stuff eg lakes. Its the Sport and comp models i was thinking of

Depends on the shoe, Trails shoes like the Tahoe are fine for walking in.

Race shoes like the sport and the comp with their stiffer sole and more exposed cleat can be a bit sketchy to walk in at times especially on harder surfaces

Tahoe - easier to walkin but rot easily if used int eh wet a lot and take a while to dry.

BG shoes dry easily, don't rot but are much harder to walk in esp initially ๐Ÿ™‚

Edit: What they are designed to do really - race shoes for racing and tahoes for leisure ๐Ÿ™‚

I've got the Pros with the carbon soles. No problems on rocks etc, grip is very good.

They are a bit slippy and very stiff for walking. I got some of the chunkier boots (Buzzsaw or something)Scroll down for review
They're really good for big hill days.
discontinued, but you may find a pair.
