As the title says please... I was out today and for the first time this year my SPD's were failing to engage, guess it was snow related? However it has not happened before so not sure.... Any tips for stopping this? Oiling the cleats?

Cheers

Ollie

I've been using SPDs since they were invented, and have NEVER been unable to engage them in any conditions.

Just bang your foot on the pedal a couple of times to get the snow off.

I had hardpacked snow and ice in mine it wouldn't kcick off and wouldn't engage - only happens in slush at freezing point tho - as it froze onto the pedals.
