Just wondering, like, has anyone replaced the DT rear shock with a Fox unit?
Experiences/comments/practicality??

It's better. Simples. With boost valve it descends far nicer.

I have an RPL on mine, it pedals better in normal mode than the barely damped dt nonsense, with propedal on its great uphill then lockout for the road.

Main issue I had was sorting the bushings which were not the size in the manual nor stamped on my dt shock!

22.2 x M6 both ends.

Simples.

Do you not find you miss the remote lock out / traction mode? One of the best features of the bike IMO.

The shock positioning means it's really easy to reach the propedal switch - try doing that on the fly on an Anthem... really difficult.

I did mine 2 years ago, best change you can make. I used to run it with the pro pedal on at setting 3 all the time

Rickon: Not for me with my 2009 carbon 30. The dt ones said 22.2 as did the manual but the rear end was 22 and the front end 22.4 so I ended up with a set of 22 bushes from mojo then a pair of 0.2mm shims for a RC car motor (!) off ebay for the front

footflaps: You can reach it easily as mentioned above but you dont need it anywhere near as often as the fox shocks whether its a rp2/3/rpl actually have some form of low speed compresison damping unlike the dt thing

Have to say I never really had any complaints about the DT original shock, I probably run it 95% in traction mode / 4% locked out and 1% fully open.
