Fair play to the woman - I will give her a wave when she next wafts past my bike in her Jaguar.

"Thank you for your email. I am more than happy to pass on your concerns and comments to the Highways and Transport Directorate. I do know that generally cycling is very much encouraged by the controlling and minority group for many reasons but I have to agree that much work needs to be done to make it safer. It is particularly hazardous at the moment with all of the potholes caused by very wet winter."
