Visiting in May.
Seen that there's a bridleway nearby for a sneaky hour and a bit. Previous trips to Devon have had not much showing on the map but some brilliant gnarly white roads when you get there.Hoping that this is the case this time.
Any local info would be welcome.

Or castle drogo and the teign valley a short drive away.

Yeah Belstone & ranges roads if it's open are quite pleasant. There'a also NCN 28, which goes into Oke.

If it hasn't rained for a month, the bridleway around Cosden Hill (access from Ford Cross) will be rideable (clockwise has the more fun descent), if not it will be a boggy unpleasant slog.

In theory, there's a bridleway to the top of Cosden too - but I've never found it as a trail as such. Worth it in a masochistic sort of way.

TBH, if I'm visiting for any length of time, I take the gravel bike with semi slicks and do more road riding than anything...
