Hi,
Just popped a superstar 34t thick / thin chainring on my mk 2 soul. (xtr chainset)
I normally wrap a bit of inner tube along the chainstay, in a squash racquet grip style.
It rubbed. I needed to cut a small whole in the tube as there is only about 1mm clearance for the teeth at the stay.
Just a heads up.
Daniel
P.s I'm running the appropriate BB spacer. So all as it should be.
Was that in the middle ring position on a triple?
I ran a 36 middle on my Soul, it had a decent amount of clearance, the thick/thin ring;ll be thicker but it wouldn't be enough to make it a problem.
(that said I wouldn't wrap an innertube round that part of the chainstay either)
Yep, middle ring option on an xtr triple.
Lines up with the old mrp top guide perfectly (bb mounted in stead of spacer).
Just closer than I thought it'd be.
