A while ago I posted regarding looking at a new frame to replace my On One Scandal. I've since been looking more and more at the Cortex frame which wasn't on my original list. Cost is playing a part in this as the price is pretty damn awesome. I'm just debating now on whether an upgrade from the standard Rock Shox deluxe to the Cane Creek DB air is worth the extra £115? The fork I'll be using is a Rock Shox 35 deluxe so nothing special, but it works for me as I don't do anything properly gnarley on my bike, I'd just like the extra cushioning and grip that a FS offers

I would say so. I was looking at possibly getting an evol recently and thought £115 to upgrade to that shock was a no brainer. In the end I went for a bird aether 9 with the rs ultimate shock instead as it was available now and I could swap everything over from my hardtail without changing fork length or anything, plus external cable routing.
Those sonder frames are a bargain for sure.

I bought a Cortex a while back - I would get in contact with Alpkit and check they actually have stock - even though their website said they did have stock for a selection of bikes / frames, they didn't 🙁

In the end they did have a Cortex in my size, but no rear shocks - I bought frame only and sourced a Fox DPS from TFTuned. TFT said there was a massive lead time for the Cane Creek shock. If Alpkit did have the shocks in, I was going to go for the Cane Creek as it is supposed to be a worthwhile upgrade.

Frame is very nice though, haven't had much of a chance to ride it yet, but I'm really happy so far.
