Something to put into a frame while shock out?

Does anyone know of, can link to or show something that can be fitted into a frame while the shock is out so the frame is still supported (doesn't have to function) and the bike can be moved around.

I have one bike where I can squeeze a tennis ball in between the linkage to achieve this but for another nothing like that can be done. I can't leave the bike in the stand while the shock is away for warranty in this case (no space) and need to be able to wheel it into the storage area.

Was thinking there must be something out there for selling/shipping frames without shocks?

A bit of 2x4 with a hole drilled in each end. You can put the holes anywhere you like for custom geometry.

Not mine, and I would go down the DIY route myself

Number plate, trimmed and drilled. Did the job fine.

A stiff piece of cardboard with holes pushed through it?

A cheap old shock from ebay?

I also use wood with two holes drilled. You could sand it down if you really want to over complicate it! I even wrote the shock dimensions on my piece of wood.

Another shock?

I bought a spare shock for one of my bikes - new/removed from a new bike unridden - for just over twice the cost of that 'mockshox' thing on Etsy.

I have a bit of plastic that daughter brought back from one of her racing trips. Not sure which factory team she was given it by.

Tend to just put a spare shock in whilst they are away for a service and then the serviced one goes back as the spare

Length of plastic pipe with two holes has been my solution
