I had several helpful messages from others saying it was lovely only 30 miles away, so perhaps we were riding under a personal cloud of misery ? I ended up in my full winter gear apart from gloves and fleece, though really it wasn't cold, just some wind chill in wet clothes!

driest many have seen the trails up here,even the south west coast was dry last week (Argyll) it did rain but just dampened the dust, cant ever imagine a hosepipe ban up here though! 😮

that's what I've been saying round here recently - which is why our reservoirs are nearly empty - but I was astonished at how soon a little rain returned Yorkshire to its finest filthy mud!
