Looking to try and build my first wheel.
Have Mavic XM317 rim and Deore 590 front hub to hand. But no spokes.
Looking online I am led to believe that I need 266.5mm spokes.
Looking on CRC I have a choice of either 264 or 274. What to do? I guess the nipples make up a bit as these a quotes as 14mm. in that case would I need to order shorter?
Could anyone please double check the measurement and offer advise on the correct length the order please.
Many thanks.
I just came up with 265.9 so your figures seem OK to me. You should easily be able to get 266mm. Don't settle for anything else, the length calculated is the actual length you need. Ring around or do some more googling
dotbike are pretty good for spoke pricing.
thespokedwheel is good - If he doesn't have what you need he will get it for you
Good bloke
