Hi Guys,
I have an old Edge 205 which no longer works with the Garmin Training centre.
I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was any software that I could use rather than Garmin to get my routes and training data off of the device onto?
Cheers,
I don't know about the 205, but on my 500 the data is stored in the Activities folder on the device so you can just plug it in with a USB cable and upload those TCX files to whatever software / website you want (Strava, Endomondo etc).
Strava etc will work with the Garmin Communicator plugin, or you should be able to browse the file structure as above. Try checking that you have the plugin.
Depends on what computer you're using. For OS X, it'll still work with Ascent (which unfortunately doesn't appear to be in development any more) and RubiTrack 3.
www.ridewithgps.com ?
Cool thanks guys ๐
Sporttracks has a free version, i've used it with no problems with a 305 and a 500

It's quite good. It lives on your computer not on the internet like Strava et al...so you don't need an internet connection

I think you can still download the legacy versions of traning centre from the Garmin site?

I still reckon this was the best GPS/training software I've ever used, bloody shame its no longer being developed.

Yes, I'd agree. Marginally better than RubiTracks.

That was such a strange one. The dev just pissed off, no message about ending development, just left.
Strangely, he keeps paying his web hosting bills, and selling the software.
