What are people planning to do instead?

For me, I'm very tempted to get back into DH after a 30 year gap and looking for a cheap DH bike with a view to doing a couple of races.

I'm just going to go ride. Yesterday just reinforced that I can't race blind stages at speed with faster riders coming down behind me. I'd be better spending the same hotel and travel costs, then what I saved on race entry on drink.
