Looks set to be a scorcher, and we're off to the Peaks on Friday so:

Stop off at Sherwood Pines on the way up and meet my brother
Cut Gate on Saturday
General Edale/Mam Tor/etc ride on Sunday

Then further north to Alnwick to my parent's next week and hopefully Keilder at some point...

I'm so excited, like a 4 year old in a sweetie shop! 😀

Mix of road/off road around Salisbury Plain whenever I can fit it in around a hectic schedule of BBQ and beer!

And going to the LBS to spend some money! Woo! New helmet for starters. Might treat myself to something else if I can get inspired.

don't know. it's a surprise.

it was my birthday last thursday, and one of my presents from the missus is a weekend away. i don't know where we are going (but i suspect north wales due to her traffic and timing comments) and i don't know what we're doing, but we're taking bikes (she specified full suss, rather than hardtail 🙂 )

Awww, what a good missus you have there Alfabus.

Thursday night at Gisburn - not my usual thing but off to the Howgills to ride horses rather than bikes for the weekend at a Hen Do. Hopefully will get to ride bikes on Monday if I can sneak off early.

Saturday/Sunday - Local roads to try and build up some mileage,
Monday - Out running (jogging!), hoping to clock up a 10k+.

Thats the plan anyway....

Some really nice views off the Syfydrin at the moment!

Personally, so long as I find a mate to ride with, will probably do the Syfydrin (plus some other stuff :D) Saturday and then dyfi Sunday

not 100% yet, but contemplating my first 50(52) mile run, train up to bidge of allan, head for loch venacher, over to aberfoyle, south thru the forest roads, join on to the whw at drymen and then through mugdock to milngavie.. mix of road and forest roads. should be good, forcast is excellent, i'm taking extra shorts for a dip in some loch somewhere! it'll take me all day but it'll be fun. 🙂

Not sure yet, but thinking about popping my 100 mile off-road cherry with a Swan's Way double on Saturday if this cold I've got doesn't get too much worse. Well, not quite the whole double, I'll cut out the ~10 miles between Goring & Watlington I think. 110 miles off-road on the singlespeed should be an interesting challenge!

Pete - if you're going to Alnwick then the Cheviots isn't far away! The Ingram Valley isn't far away, as is Bewick Moor where I enjoyed a very pleasant ride with sea views.

Have a great time anyway! 😀

Off camping with the nipper on Friday and going to give the legs a well deserved rest ready for a few days of biking with "the lads" in mid wales on Sunday. I have put so many miles in this last two weeks they are in tatters at the moment.

saladdoger, the Quantocks is pretty slippery at the moment due to the dusty trails, it's best that you avoid it because we don't want you falling off (again). Oh, hang on, it's not just dusty trails that you fall off of 😆

Rode Cut Gate last Saturday and it was fantastic in the Spring sunshine with seriously dry and dusty trails from start to finish.

This weekend I'll be riding a remote wilderness epic route in Torridon, NW Highlands. Followed by more of the same a couple of days later on Skye for the Glen Sligachan route.

Seriously excited although wet and turbulent weather is forecast 🙁

Did the classic Sedbergh, Calf, Bowderdale, Ravenstonedale Loop today. Bowderdale ST to myself, magic.

A couple of days in the Dales (Swaledale, Wensleydale etc) over the weekend.

Hoping the weather is good for everyone!!!

Cheers, Paul.

Anyone riding in the Peak is in for a treat; been out every day for almost a week- it is almost too dusty and dry!

Dumfries for us, so probably Mabie, Ae, Kirroughtree, Drumlanrig, etc 🙂

Setting off tomorrow morning with the mrs for a 40-ish miler, mostly off road.

From here (Whitley Bay-ish), up through Blyth up to Newbiggin-By-The-Sea, over through Ashington, all the way down to Cramlington via Stannington and home.

Longest trip with the mrs so far, can't wait.

Nowhere for me other than roads or maybe a little bit of local flat xc 😥 Just had to shell out over £300 on my car (wheel + tyre problems) so really I can't afford the petrol to get anywhere. I may go over to Stile Cop or something on Monday as I'm doing two gigs Sat/Sunday nights so will get a bit of money!

Wouldn't mind trying somewhere new though and something more xc-ish. Anyone riding the Peaks on monday and don't mind showing a slow one round?

I was going to ride some trails tomorrow and sat, with a downhill uplift day on sunday.

But went the bike shop today to do some work to the bike, and i found that my frame fell to pieces as i started unbolting components, so no riding for me this weekend, until i get a warranty replacement set of linkages for my bike.. :/

Was up at 5:30am this Morning to go round gisburn Forrest with the dog. Great ride, didn't see another soul till I got back to the carpark at 9am. Judging by the amount of cars turning up it looked like it was going to be busy there today.

I'll be heading up Haldon for a couple hours on saturday to try and explore the 'unofficial' trails, maybe Woodbury on sunday if i get a couple hours free.

I'm trying to avoid doing anything where it will be too busy, living in the westcountry definitely has it's down sides during holiday times.

I'm thinking of heading somewhere more exciting on monday or tuesday as i have the whole days free, i'm thinking Dartmoor, Exmoor, Cwmcarn or even Afan
