...would you wear full winter kit, hi viz jacket, gloves,...balaclava even...

...and running shorts?

I passed a bloke this morning who appeared to consider this a normal course of action.

Words fail me.

I had hi viz jacket, full finger gloves and shorts on this morning for the cycle commute, no balaclava mind, only cos I couldn't find it ๐Ÿ˜‰

My brother in law wears football shorts rather than baggies over his cycling shorts.

It makes him look a bit "special".

I wore cycling gear for my commute. Down through the woods today, so put my POC knees on. They were still damp with sweat from last night. Nice! I made that 'eeeurgh' face as I put them on.

I though initially "thats a bit soft" then realised it was around Edinburgh where its perpetually cold.

Wet, well damp really, and not that cold here in Sheffield. Base layer below waterproof jacket and Buff, baggies over shorts. It's almost like the decision to turn on the central heating: when to put on longer/warmer kit.
